Dr. Suárez-Sarmiento’s expertise is dedicated to men’s health and wellness, including erectile dysfunction, impotence, female urology and urinary incontinence. For 25 years he’s been one of the leading penile implanters in the world. He has been Chief of Surgery and Urology at Coral Gables Hospital, the busiest hospital in the world for impotence treatment and penile implants.

Dr. Suárez-Sarmiento founded the first impotence center for Hispanic Americans in the United States in 1987. Also, he became the first urologist to perform 100 Inflatable Penile Prosthesis under local anesthesia as documented in the “CAU Conference in Puerto Rico” in 1988.

Among his many publications, Dr. Suárez-Sarmiento has written extensively on a number of important topics, including penile implantation under local anesthesia and female urinary incontinence. Dr. Suárez-Sarmiento is an active member of the American Urological Association, Tenet Coral Gables Hospital Board of Trustees and Credentials Committee as well as the Dominican Society of Urology.
